Join in a day of fun for all ages as the Bridle Creek Equestrian Community presents Touch A Horse Day Saturday, September 13. Located at Banks Mill Road to 1140 Colbert Bridge Road, this family-friendly event features pony rides, games for the kids, hay rides through Bridle Creek, sandwiches and drinks, shelter animals to adopt, and much more – including the star of the show, Mansa, one of Aiken’s largest and most gentle horses. Donations are accepted upon entry and will benefit the Aiken County Animal Shelter. With activities sponsored by Boots Bridles & Britches, Aiken Saddlery, and Southern Saddlery, this event is one you won’t want to miss. Plan your visit now!

Walk with the Spirits
Saturday and Sunday
October 11 and 12, 2008
3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Join the Historic Augusta and Watson-Brown Foundation on a guided tour of Magnolia Cemetery featuring the “spirits” of some
of Augusta’s notable residents. Along the way you will also learn about the history of the cemetery and iconography of the
headstones. Refreshments will be provided by Poppy Seeds. Tours will start every twenty minutes and will last about 45 minutes.
Reservations will be required.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets for groups of ten or more people cost $10. The tour is not recommended for children under 5.
